This award recognises groups or activities which involve young people in leading, planning and making their own decisions. It celebrates the fact that young people are a fantastic source of energy, ideas, skills and innovation in a community.
There are many examples of ways young people are involved in their communities, including developing and running community events; creating ways to develop stronger relationships between young people and the broader community; building skills and leadership amongst young people; and contributing to community strength and well-being.
In this award category priority will be given to activities that show young people working together and making a difference in their community. |
