2014 Winners Announced!

Seven outstanding winners of the 2014 Regional Achievement & Community Awards for NSW and the ACT have been announced at an official awards presentation gala dinner held at the Wagga Wagga RSL on Saturday 1st November.

This annual awards program is Presented by PRIME7 and supported by the Commonwealth Bank recognises groups, business, individuals and communities who play a vital role in enhancing the social, environmental and economic prosperity of rural NSW and the ACT. The awards program aims to encourage the achievements and recognise the significant positive image of these role models throughout regional New South Wales and the ACT. This year’s 2014 Winners are:

The Dobija Print World Events and Tourism Award: 

The Brunswick Old and Gold Festival

Prizes - The winner of the Events & Tourism Award won TV Advertising on PRIME7 and glass trophy

The Crown Lands Crown Reserve Trust Corporate Managers Award: 

Lake Menindee Plantation Reserve Trust

The Crown Lands Crown Reserve Trust Community Managers Award: 

Bega Showground Trust

The Prime Super Community of the Year Award (population under 15,000): 

Warrae Wanni- Muswellbrook South Public School

The Prime Super Community of the Year Award (population over 15,000): 

Byron Bay Community Association

The Peabody Environment and Landcare Award:

 Ray Thompson, Nyngan

The Elite Coatings Regional Service Award:

Alf Cantrell, Yeoval

Prizes – Each winner of the above Award’s received $5,000 thanks to the Commonwealth Bank and a glass trophy.
