Fox Creek Wines was founded in 1984 by Dr Jim and Helen Watts, who bought a former sheep and barley farm on Malpas Road in McLaren Vale. They planted the vineyards and released their first wine in 1994 – a Shiraz, which immediately made an impact. In fact in 1995, that early Shiraz won Best Wine at the McLaren Vale Wine Show, helping establish Fox Creek as a serious producer.
Today Fox Creek is considered a classic McLaren Vale label, known for producing bold regional wines that really showcase the Vale.
